I'm Shikha Garg,

I've had a career as a Visual Communication Designer for more than 2 decades and worked with clients across the globe. I continue to take on sketch-noting and illustration projects that appeal to me.

In 2014, while on a sabbatical to spend time with my twin daughters, I re-discovered my passion for fine art and started sketching and painting in Oil and Acrylics. An avid traveller, I would often sketch and paint with watercolors on my travels. As I explored the medium further I fell in love with Watercolors and what has happened since has been a wonderous and serendipitous journey of self discovery.
I enjoy painting nature. The serenity, the beauty and bounty present in breathtaking landscapes, and a vast variety of flora and fauna are a source of inspiration to me. I am known for my soft and ethereal florals and still-lifes. I have given demos at various events and teach both offline & online.
I really love connecting with people from different cultures and perspectives and believe that communities are essential for artists to grow and to support each other. As Leader for south India, Fabriano Inacquarello, Italy, the worlds largest watercolor festival, I am blessed to be part of a beautiful, thriving, worldwide artist community that is vibrant, uplifting and has become my second family.
